Abstract
Decision making is an extremely important part of clinical practice. It is integral to the formulation of policies which determine the rational approach to investigation, diagnosis and treatment. As this chapter will focus on the use of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data in clinical decision making, investigation and diagnosis will receive little attention, and emphasis will be placed on relevant aspects of drug treatment.
