Abstract
Polyethylene terephthalate track-etched membranes were modified by the deposition of polyallylamine and polyacrylic acid monolayers from 91–96 vol % ethanol in the presence and absence of penicillin V. Sorption ability and diffusion permeability in relation to penicillin V is higher for the membranes modified in the presence of this compound (the imprinted ones), which supports the formation of its molecular imprints in the polyelectrolyte layer. The imprints are formed if the polyelectrolytes are deposited onto the membrane from a solution of ionic liquid (butylmethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate). The sorption of extraneous compounds by the imprinted and nonimprinted membranes is similar, which confirms the formation of selective molecular imprints of penicillin V.
