Eco-geographical variability of Spiraea betulifolia Pall. and S. beauverdiana Schneid. on the morphological and biochemical markers

  • Published:
Contemporary Problems of Ecology Aims and scope

Abstract

The results of a study of eco-geographical variability of morphological and biochemical features of Spiraea betulifolia and S. beauverdiana are given. The following features-markers are identified: character and degree of pedicle and follicle pubescence, follicle rostrum position, and composition of phenolic compounds. This research proves the species independence of S. betulifolia and S. beauverdiana.
