Abstract
The distribution in waterbodies and watercourses of Belarus of an alien fish species, the Amur sleeper Perccottus glenii Dybowski, 1877, is studied. In Belarus, the Amur sleeper was recorded for the first time in the middle of the 1970s. At present, this invader is widely distributed in this republic and was found in the basins of all its main rivers. Most localities of capture of the Amur sleeper in Belarus are small closed waterbodies of various types. Introduction is an important factor in the process of distribution of the Amur sleeper in the investigated area.
