Abstract

IT has been supposed in the past that substances with feebly acidic or basic properties, say with Ka or Kb less than 2.5 × 10 in the case of N/20 dilution, are incapable1 of estimation by acid-base titrations. I have recently succeeded in elaborating a technique by which this object can be attained: the main principles involved are set out below.
