Abstract
Since I cannot in the space allotted address the full range of issues raised in these commentaries, I will focus my attention primarily on one point of difference, regarding the distinction between scientific and everyday theorizing, that fundamentally separates my approach from the approaches of Duschl et al., Gilbert, and Ohlsson (but not, I think, Hewson and Lemberger). At the end of this reply I will briefly address Hewson's and Lemberger's commentary and make a few remarks about the increasingly popular term 'model'.
