Abstract

Taxonomic notes are provided on the Japanese species of the genus Morophaga: M. iriomotensis Robinson, 1986 and M. formosana Robinson, 1986. They are not reported to be of economic importance in Japan, but in Korea M. formosana is known as a pest of Ganoderma lucidum (Fr.) Karst. Here, the morphology of the female genitalia of M. iriomotensis is described for the first time. Images of adults and their male and female genitalia are given as basic information for pest management.
