Summary
New bioinorganic complexes of non-natural amino acids (<Emphasis Type=”Italic”>p</Emphasis>-methyl-, <Emphasis Type=”Italic”>p</Emphasis>-trifluoromethyl-, <Emphasis Type=”Italic”>p</Emphasis>-bromo-phenylalanine) and divalent copper ion are synthesized. The crystal structure of the complex of <Emphasis Type=”Italic”>p</Emphasis>-methylphenylalanine and copper belongs to monoclinic system and that of <Emphasis Type=”Italic”>p</Emphasis>-trifluoromethyl- or <Emphasis Type=”Italic”>p</Emphasis>-bromo-phenylalanine and copper belongs to orthorhombic system. The infrared spectra can demonstrate the complex formation. The large difference of the magnetic susceptibilities and of the thermal decomposition processes of the complexes shows that the bonding or coordination structure in the complexes may be different.
