Abstract
For description and quantitative characterization of the kinetics of photochemical interconversions in time-resolved spectra and processes involving transport of different types of signals and information in an ensemble of molecules, we introduce the concepts of the trajectory of the change in state of a complex system in a multidimensional population space and the fluxes determining energy transfer, information transfer, and structural interconversions.
