The authors would like to correct the attribution of the first description of the antigen retrieval technique as discussed in the section “IHC in celloidin-embedded sections”. The correct text should read as follows:
“Antigen retrieval technique was first described by Huang and colleagues in a manuscript entitled “Immunohistochemical demonstration of hepatitis B core and surface antigens in paraffin sections”, published in Lab. Invest. 33:88–95 (1975).
