This special edition is dedicated to Gynecologic imaging and features clinically relevant articles written by well-known authors on female pelvic imaging. The content focuses on the complexity of gynecologic disorders and complications related to benign gynecologic disorders such as endometriosis, due to those of gynecologic malignancy. Manuscripts dedicated to addressing the current state-of-the-art applications of imaging techniques of gynecologic imaging are included in this issue, and have real-world application for the practicing radiologist. The articles are designed to allow the reader to organize practical information in a meaningful fashion. I firmly believe the manuscripts included within this issue will help practicing radiologists provide clinically relevant information to our referring clinicians to provide accurate imaging diagnosis and help guide appropriate management for women presenting with complex pelvic pathologies.

It has been my great pleasure to plan and prepare this edition and to work with a wonderful group of expert authors. I was humbled by their enthusiasm to contribute. It has been my great privilege to work with the editor of Abdominal Radiology, C. D. Johnson, who chose the focus of gynecologic imaging for this edition, underscoring its importance in the imaging community.
