Summary
The use of Porapak Q, is a sorbent material, is linked to a knowledge of the contaminants present in this polymer. In the present paper, the compounds obtained by extraction with acetone are detected and confirmed by comparison with mass spectrometric and gas chromatographic data of reference compounds. The principal products are themeta andpara isomers of ethylacetophenone and diacetylbenzene.
