Abstract
Poor performances can be obtained from classical domain decomposition algorithms to solve advection-diffusion equations in the case of convection dominated flows. Therefore, adaptive domain decomposition have been developed for such flows. We investigate the properties of some algorithms of this kind in the framework of a finite volume/finite element discretization.
