Abstract
The history of a 27-year-old woman with 10 years of episodic abdominal pain and the development of calcific pancreatitis secondary to hyperlipo-proteinemia is presented. The relationship between familial and alcoholic hyperlipidemia and pancreatitis is discussed as well as the mechanism of injury to the pancreas.
