Summary
By immunofluorescence technique performed on material embedded in epoxyresin, glucagon containing islet cells were demonstrated in the teleost, Xiphophorus helleri H. Rabbit anti-pig glucagon serum was employed. Correlative tryptophan DMAB-nitrite staining shows that only some of the immunofluorescent glucagon cells are positive; this discrepancy is discussed.
