Summary
It is shown that a tri-compartment cell population model with kinetics predicting decrease of product inhibition with decrease in substrate concentration can portray all dynamic situations observed in continuous ethanol fermentations depending on substrate concentration, from sustained oscillations to completely stable cultures.
