Abstract

We propose to use sunflower husk without preliminary modification or activation of its surface as an adsorbent of cationic dyes. Optimal conditions for conducting the adsorption process have been determined. It has been found that kinetic curves of the adsorption of cationic dyes are well described by kinetic equations of the pseudosecond order. As the temperature of the solutions rises from 298 to 338 K the adsorption of cationic dyes on sunflower husk increases.
