Abstract

The chemical interaction in the section InSe-In3Sb2S3Se3, which is a partially quasi-binary section of the In-Sb-S-Se quaternary system, was studied by differential thermal, X-ray powder diffraction, and microstructural analyses and also by microhardness and density measurements. The state diagram of the section was constructed. At room temperature, in samples based on In3Sb2S3Se3, 12 mol % InSe is dissolved, and in samples based on InSe, 3.5 mol % In3Sb2S3Se3 is dissolved. It was found that In3Sb2S3Se3 crystallizes in the rhombic system with unit cell parameters a = 7.08 Å, b = 6.24 Å, c = 18.90 Å, Z = 3, and space group P212121.
