Summary

  1. 1.

On trees of the var. Shamooti bud variations are found from time to time which can not be distinguished from the var. Belladi.

  2. 2.

Very rarely Shamooti bud variations are found on trees of Belladi.

  3. 3.

It is therefore very probable that the Shamooti has been produced as a bud variation by the older and more widely distributes Belladi.

  4. 4.

So far bud variations on the Shamooti have only been found on older trees.
