Abstract
Phlojodicarpin [8-(2,3-epoxy-1-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl)-7-methoxycoumarin, C15H16O5, mp 143–145°C, [α] 25D -37.5°], and isophlojodicarpin [8-(1,2-epoxy-3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl)-7-methoxycoumarin, C15H16O5, mp 132–134°C, [α] 25D -102.5°] have been isolated from the epigeal part ofPhlojodicarpus sibiricus. The results of the IR, UV, PMR, and mass spectrometry of these compounds are given.
