Zusammenfassung

Multiresistente Erreger bereiten vielen Intensivstationen zunehmend Probleme. Mit Hilfe einer aktuellen lokalen Resistenzstatistik, welche idealerweise 1- bis 2-mal jährlich vom betreuenden mikrobiologischen Labor erstellt und interpretiert wird, können Veränderungen im Resistenzspektrum retrospektiv erkannt werden. Diese Statistik stellt die Grundlage für die individuelle empirische Antibiotikatherapie dar.
