General Information on Namibia
The Namibian coastline stretches for about 1500 km between neighboring countries Angola to the north and South Africa to the south. Namibia’s neighbor to the east is the landlocked country of Botswana. According to the World Bank, Namibia is categorized as an upper middle-income country with a gross domestic product (GDP) of US$13 billion in 2014. The GDP value of Namibia represents 0.02% of the world economy. GDP in Namibia averaged 5.25 billion USD from 1980 to 2014, reaching an all-time high of 13.02 billion USD in 2012 and a record low of 1.62 billion USD in 1985.
