Abstract
Unique and ever-changing applications of imaging technologies have played an integral role in transforming the landscape of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery [1]. Both computer tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imagery (MRI) continue to push forward the boundaries of image-guided neurological surgery. Despite the great benefits offered by CT and MRI, however, each technique poses certain risks to the safety of patients and, in some cases, of healthcare workers [2–4].
