Abstract
In this note, we show the transmission performance of 1D quaternary photonic crystal (QPC) with two defect layers in the structure. The structure consists of 6 periods of four materials followed by a first defect layer (air column) in sequence with 12 periods of same four materials followed by a second defect layer (air column) then again 6 periods of four materials. This note is written to extend our recently published work (Singh et al. in J Opt, 2023. 10.1007/s12596-022-01085-7) on 1D QPCs. These multiple defect 1D QPCs are innovative structural options for making photonic devices.
