Abstract

This paper is concerned mainly with locating the probable sites of ore mineral deposits in the southeastern desert of Egypt, just Southeast of Aswan (SEA), where there is a paucity of works in these poorly explored areas. Performing the aeromagnetic data analysis through using the CET grid and porphyry analysis techniques, which have been already used in mineral exploration and give good results, enables the portraying of linear, circular, and semi-circular features which are supposed to be the favorable locations for mineralization emplacement due to their associated deformation. Several features have been detected in the study area which serves the processes of ore deposition from the ascending magmatic intrusions or the hydrothermal solutions and so it reveals that the area may be a promising one for mineral resources because of the availability of the conditions of ore formation. The mapped locations can guide exploration in the initial stage of mineral exploration in the SEA and alike areas in the world.
