Abstract

A respectable number of energetic data and models of polynuclear oxyanions are known from the literature. However, we lacked information on “simple” energetics patterns of different aqueous polynuclear oxyanions; where “simple” means the use of parameters derived only from the stoichiometry of these species, and no additional extrathermodynamic quantities. A relationship between the entropy of formation and different parameters as negative value of the charge of the species, the number of oxygen atoms, the natural logarithm of the molecular weight, the total number of atoms and the number of central atoms that are gases is established and commented thereon.
