Efficient one-pot synthesis of 2H-indazolo[2,1-b]phthalazinetrione derivatives with amino-functionalized nanoporous silica (SBA-Pr-NH2) as catalyst

Abstract

Amino-functionalized SBA-15 (SBA-Pr-NH2) with a pore size of 6 nm has been used as an efficient and reusable heterogeneous solid-base catalyst for preparation of 2H-indazolo[2,1-b]phthalazinetrione derivatives. The procedure involves three-component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone, and phthalhydrazide under solvent-free conditions. The catalyst can be easily removed from the reaction mixture and reused several times without substantial loss of reactivity.
