Variations of the Frequency Range of HF Signals on the Subauroral Path During Magnetic–Ionospheric Disturbances in October 2016

  • Published:
Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics Aims and scope

We present the results of studying variations of the key characteristics of the ionospheric HF channel, namely, the maximum observed (MOF) and the lowest observed (LOF) frequency on the Salekhard—Vasilsursk subauroral path under conditions of variable magnetic activity in October 2016. A comparison of the changes in the MOF and LOF of the F and Es propagation modes as functions of the geomagnetic activity indices was made.
