We propose a system for corrosion tests by the method of polarization resistance with computer logging of the results of measurements. The system consists of a two-electrode corrosion rate probe and an R5126 indicator of polarization resistance connected with an analog-to-digital converter and a computer. The software that enables one to record the time dependence of all measured values of polarization resistance is installed on the computer. We describe the implementation of this scheme using the currently available hardware and software of TM “OVEN” (Russia). This system facilitates and accelerates experiments because the results of measurements are obtained directly in digital form on a computer. In addition, the subsequent data processing is substantially facilitated.
