Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties of (La1−x Sr x MnO3) N (LaCrO3)1−N Solid Solutions

Abstract

Solid solutions (La1−x Sr x MnO3) N (LaCrO3)1−N with (La, Sr) and (Mn, Cr) two types of substitutions have been synthesized. For all investigated compounds the valent state of Mn, probed by XPS, remains Mn3+, while oxygen valent state changes according to (La, Sr)-substitution. Both crystal structure analysis and magnetic properties demonstrate inhomogeneous state of investigated materials.
