  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

An unprecedented bis-indole 1, a novel indole alkaloid 2, and some known indole-related compounds 35 have been isolated from the sponge Plakortis sp. collected from Zampa in Okinawa. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis. These metabolites showed cytotoxic activity against P388 leukemia and B16 melanoma cells.
