Three-Component Synthesis of Dimethyl 7-Aryl-8-(3-Arylquinoxalin-2-yl)-2-(R-Imino)-9-Oxo-1,6-Dioxa-Spiro[4.4]Nona-3,7-Diene-3,4-Dicarboxylates

Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds Aims and scope

We have developed a method for the synthesis of dimethyl 7-aryl-8-(3-arylquinoxalin-2-yl)-2-(R-imino)-9-oxo-1,6-dioxaspiro[4.4]nona-3,7-diene-3,4-dicarboxylates, based on a three-component reaction of 5-aryl-4-(quinoxalin-2-yl)furan-2,3-diones, 1-adamantylisocyanide or о-methylphenylisocyanide, and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate.
