Abstract

This paper provides an overview on standards of endoprosthetic replacement of major joints due to traumatic and post-traumatic alterations. The indications and types of endoprosthetic replacement as an alternative to joint-preserving procedures for shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle joints are discussed.
