Abstract

Introduction

Intracranial atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor is an uncommon malignancy with a dismal outcome. Commonly misdiagnosed over the decades as primitive neuroectodermal tumor of the brain, it has dramatically different biological behavior.

Discussion

We herein report a case series of five patients diagnosed and treated as atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor of the brain in a major cancer center in north India. We have also analyzed the clinical, histopathological, and radiological features and the therapeutic options of this enigmatic tumor.
