Abstract

Application of principal components analysis to process spectrometric, chromatographic and mass spectrometric data is becoming increasingly important in food authenticity control. This paper is focussed on the validation of such test methods and describes an approach to establishing the decision border and the detection capability. By way of illustration, an example case from the laboratory routine is presented.
