Abstract
Although the use of grain refining agents in dental gold casting alloys is well documented, little has been written concerning the use of such agents in casting and other gold alloys used in jewellery fabrication, This review of the control of grain size in gold alloys includes reference to recent findings regarding the use of Cobalt in carat gold alloys.
