Abstract
The production of samples of uniform grain sizes by means of the process of repeated sedimentation, from synthetic apatite activated by manganese and antimony.
It has been determined that the brightness of this material is independent of the grain size, the reason for the decrease in light being the smaller excitation caused by the increased reflection.
The summing of the diffused reflection of the powdered material. The application of the summing to determine the coefficient of absorption.
The control of the method with material of known absorption. In the above material the coefficient of absorption is: 300±60/cm. The control of result carried out by means of photometering under microscope.
