Abstract
No longer limited to descriptions of economically important plants and to accounts of their culture, products, preparation, occurrence, distribution and uses, the scope of Economic Botany today must include careful taxonomic work, the application of physiological principIes, recognition of ecological relationships and the science of genetics.
