On a statistical generalization of the multiperipheral bootstrap

О статистическом обобщении мультипериферического бутстрепа

Summary

The discussion of the multiperipheral bootstrap model in its one-dimensional version leads one to consider some experimental and theoretical inconsistencies, which are expected to be crucial at very high energies. A statistical generalization of the model is proposed; the new model allows one to separate the multiperipheral and diffractive contributions to then-particle production cross-sections. The general properties of the model are investigated.

Il modello del «bootstrap» multiperiferico nella sua versione unidimensionale mette in evidenza alcune inconsistenze di natura sia teorica che sperimentale. Ci si attende che tali inconsistenze siano ancor più rilevanti ad energie molto elevate. Si propone pertanto una generalizzazione statistica del modello. Il nuovo modello permette di separare i contributi alla sezione d'urto di produzione din particelle dovuti sia al meccanismo multiperiferico che a quello diffrattivo. Si studiano le proprietà generali del modello.

Рассмотрение мультипериферической модели бутстрепа, ее одномерного варианта, указывает на некоторые экспериментальные и теоретические несоответствия, которые, по-видимому, являются существенными при очень высоких энергиях. Предлагается статистическое обощение модели. Новая модель позволяет разделить мультипериферические и дифракционные вклады в поперечные сеченияn-частичного рождения. Исследуются общие свойства этой модели.
