Abstract

The effect of the electrochemical pretreatment of the surface of a glassy-carbon indicator electrode on the electrode response and the repeatability of measurements in the stripping voltammetric determination of lead was studied. It was shown that the analytical signal depends on the nature of an electrolyte used for the pretreatment. The electrolytes that gave the most satisfactory results in the pretreatment were proposed
