Summary
A sample of 199 events of the type π-+p → K + Y+nπ,12 events of the type π− + p → ξ+2K +nπand 3 events with the production of a hyperon-antihyperon pair were found in a fiducial region of the 81 cm Saclay hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a beam of 10 GeV/c π−. The A hypeions, and to a lesser extent, the Σ+ hyperons were found to be emitted strongly backwards in the c.m.s. of the collision, whereas Σ− hyperons are emitted more isotropically. Kaons are emitted in most cases strongly forward, whereas pions are produced with small c.m. momenta nearly isotropically. The known resonances K *888 , Y *1385 , Y *1405 , Y *1520 and ξ *1535 are observed only in a small fraction of the events and so they do not seem to dominate the associated production at this high energy. The transverse and total c.m. momenta increase with the mass of the particles produced.

Un Campione di 199 eventi del tipo π−+p → K + Y+nπ, 12 eventi del tipo π−+p→ ξ−+2K+nπ e 8 eventi con la produzione di una coppia iperone-antiiperone è stato trovato in una regione fiduciaria della camera a bolle ad idrogeno di 81 cm di Saclay, esposta a un fascio di π− di 10 GeV/c. Gli iperoni A e, in minor misura, gli iperoni Σ+ risultano emessi fortemente indietro nel s.c.m. della collisione, mentre gli iperoni Σ− sono emessi più isotropicamente. Nella maggior parte dei casi i kaoni sono emessi fortemente in avanti, mentre i pioni sono emessi quasi isotropicamente con deboli impulsi nel s.c.m. Le risonanze note K *888 , Y *1385 , Y *1405 , Y *1520 e Y *1535 si osservano solo in una piccola frazione degli eventi e pertanto non appaiono dominare la produzione associata a queste energie elevate.
