Detection of acute cardiac rejection by high resolution proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy of plasma

5. Conclusion

We have developed a low-cost and minimally-invasive MRS CDE combined procedure to diagnose routinely low grade rejection, allowing to eliminate systematic biopsies after the first year and to reduce the number of biopsies to the minimum required by the occurrence of immunological and or functional perturbations. The MRS CDE approach is also used to finetune the immunosuppressive treatment.
