Metachromatic leukodystrophy

A cause of cholelithiasis in childhood

Summary

A case of metachromatic leukodystrophy with a functioning gallbladder and multiple gallstones has been described. We are unable to find reports of similar cases. A brief review of the causes of cholelithiasis and cholecystitis in infancy and childhood is given.
