Abstract
The base composition of pure DNA from a strain of a nitrogen-fixing leaf-nodule bacterium was determined. The mean molar (guanine + cytosine) composition of 55.5% is in agreement with previous conclusions that this bacterium belongs in the genusKlebsiella.
