Summary
Extended spectroscopic analysis has led to the derivation of complete structures for the 3 isomeric host-specific toxins C39H64O22 previously isolated fromH. sacchari; these compounds represent bis-5-O-(β-galactofuranosyl)-β-galactofuranosides differing in the position of 1 double bond in their sesquiterpenoid aglycone component.
