Abstract

Twenty-five new congenic lines with distinctive BALB/cBy-strain histocompatibility alleles introduced onto the C57BL/6By-strain background by a regimen of backcrossing and tailskin grafting have been established. Twenty-one of the histocompatibility loci represented by these lines are new, while four duplicate theH-1, H-2, H-7, andH-8 loci identified by Snell.
