Higher vector meson states produced in electron-positron annihilation

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik C Particles and Fields

Abstract

A summary is presented of analyses ofe + e annihilation data, some of which have been previously published and some of which are new. The object of these analyses is to establish the existence and decay modes of vector mesons which couple strongly toe + e . The systematic information so obtained is used to check the obvious hypothesis that this set of vector mesons forms ideally mixed nonets of\(q\bar q\) states. This hypothesis does not appear to be tenable, and mixing with additional non-\(q\bar q\) states appears to be required.
