Demonstration of clinical signs and pathophysiology of posttraumatic respiratory insufficiency (shock lung); early application of heparin is recommended.

Zusammenfassung

Aus der Vielfalt der Lungenkomplikationen bei Intensivbehandlungs-Patienten wird die respiratorische Insuffizienz beim Schock herausgegriffen. Anhand eines typischen Falles wird der klinische Ablauf erläutert. Im Frühstadium ist die Heparinanwendung aussichtsreich; das Vollbild der „Schocklunge” führt trotz künstlicher Beatmung oft zum Tode.
