Summary
A fed batch system using the dissolved oxygen concentration as substrate feed indicator has been developed to perform high cell density E. coli culture. A cell density of about 110 g/l (dw) has been obtained within 12 hours with an overall growth yield of about 0.68 gX/gGlucose.
