Über eine nahezu totale Agyrie bei einem 6 Jahre alt gewordenen Knaben

Zusammenfassung

Bei dem 6 4/12 Jahre alt gewordenen Knaben bestand eine nahezu totale Agyrie des Großhirns und ein Mikrocephalus. In Übereinstimmung mit 6 im Schrifttum mitgeteilten Fällen (Culp; Koch; de Lange; Bargeton; Miller) fand sich eine glatte Großhirnoberfläche mit nur angedeuteten Primärfurchen. Auffallend war weiterhin das erhebliche Mißverhältnis von Rinde und Mark, wobei die Rinde ein Vielfaches ihrer normalen Dicke aufwies und das Marklager nur sehr dünn ausgebildet war. Das normale Dickenverhältnis von Rinde und Mark, das normalerweise 1:10 ist, beträgt in unserem Fall 4:1.

Bei Markscheidenfärbung wurde ein sechsschichtiger Rindenaufbau beobachtet, während die Zellfärbung mit Kresylviolett nur drei Schichten erkennen ließ. Eine genaue Bestimmung der Schichten nach dem Brodmannschen Schema ist nur für die Molekularschicht und die äußere Körnerschicht möglich. Als Ursache werden exogene und endogene Faktoren diskutiert.

Summary

A boy, who reached the age of 6 years and 4 months had a nearly complete agyrie of cerebrum and microcephalus. In concordance with 6 cases reported in the literature (Culp; Koch; de Lange; Bargeton; Miller) the surface of the cerebrum was found agyric with only a suggestion of primary sulci. The great disproportion between cortex and white matter was striking; the cortex was much thicker as normally and the white matter very thin. The normal relationship between the thickness of cortex and white matter usually is 1:10, in our case 4:1.

In myelin stains, the structure was found to be six-layered, whereas in cell stains with cresylviolet only 3 layers could be distinguished. Exact determination of the layers, according to the scheme ofBrodmann is only possible for the molecular layer and the outer granular layer. Exogenous and endogenous factors are discussed as possible causes.
